Technical Sales Executive
Location: Hayes, Middlesex

Salary: £24,000 per annum / Structured commission and based upon 5% of new client sales for the first 6 months. No upper limit.

Hours: 37.5 hours a week / 9.00am till 5.30pm Monday – Friday with an hour for lunch

Holidays: 21 days plus the 8 Bank Holidays, increasing by 1 day a year to a maximum of 26 days plus the 8 Bank Holidays after 5 years completed service

Pension: Through Aviva, where you contribute a minimum 3% of your monthly salary and the company matches it with another 3% of your monthly salary, making 6% in total a month.

Our client is a Middlesex based and family run firm that has been established for over 30 years now. They are one of just four companies in the UK that specialise as a niche automotive transmission parts supplier, supplying the highest quality auto parts in the U.K, Europe and worldwide.

Due to continued growth and success, our client is looking to bring on as Technical Sales Executive to increase the turnover of the company whilst maintaining or improving profitability.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

Improve methods to create sales potential from existing & new customers.
Oversee sales, from Enquiry, through Quotation and Order Processing to Invoicing.
Maintain regular contact with existing and potential customers, primarily by telephone.
Oversee the maintenance of Customer Files with up to date information.
Provide forward planning for Advertising and Exhibitions.
Augment sales to existing customers and expand customer base.
Achieve progressive increase in turnover (without loss of margin) and increase active customer base.
Improve conversion rate on quotations and customer and potential customer files kept up to date.
Maintain up to date customer contact and mailing list.
Weekly and Monthly report on forward order bookings and report on billings.
Sales enquiries requiring prices, lead time and/or technical information, to be received and dealt with. Refer to factory or supplier if necessary.
Receive incoming customer orders and ensure that specifications, part numbers and drawing issue numbers are correct.
Check price and delivery requirements, by referencing customer files, the factory or the relevant supplier.
The Ideal Candidate:

Knowledge of automotive parts MS Word and Excel.
Full UK driving licence for visiting existing and potential clients.
Will have previous experience in a similar role.
