Service Manager
Salary: £48-£50,000 / annum

Our client is a leading supplier and operator of Biogas Plants in Europe with over 600 plants already in operation. They offer a complete service for plants running on either waste streams or energy crops. Regular maintenance and Biological service of a biogas plant is crucial to high performance efficiency as well as ensuring that this can be achieved across the whole life of the plant. With long term tariff agreements, it is vital to capitalise potential income by making the plant work at its full capacity. They offer a range of service contracts from Service on Demand to Full Service. With access to van stock and spare part stock holding at Rugeley, each engineer can respond quickly and efficiently to rectify the issue. The Service Company are recruiting for a Service Manager to carry out tasks as outlined below.
Tasks:
- Build-up, Organisation and Structure of daily service business
- Customers
- Contact / management in relation to customers, Contract management to customers, Clarification of overdue situation, Frequent visits of main customer, Develop strategy of UK market, Acquisition of plant operators
- Suppliers:
- Contact / management in relation to suppliers, Evaluate service products, Contract management to suppliers, Clarification of overdue situation, Frequent visits of main suppliers, Acquisition of alternative local suppliers, Availability of spare parts & external technicians, if needed
- Leadership on complete service team in UK
- Update service colleagues with right information in time
- Support during start-up of new plants
- Management of interface between sister companies / knowledge transfer to sister companies
- Fulfilment of local Health and safety requirements
- HR issues inside the team
- Warranty management
- Clarification to customer, suppliers and supplying shareholder, Install process of warranty management
- Main responsibility of warehouse
- Organization of weekly technician schedule
- Organization of relevant trainings for complete local team
- Support monthly reporting for financial figures (p&l, balance)
The Ideal Candidate:
- Willingness to travel / regular visits to customers / suppliers / headquarter
- Self-organised working flow / “hands on” mentality
- Team player
- Experience in leading a team
- Collaboration with national and international colleagues
- Technical Manager (e.g. Mechanical, methods and/or electrical engineer) with sales experience (e.g. sales and/or business development)or Sales / Business Development Manager with technical background experience
- Minimum 10-15 years of working experience preffered
- Communicative, open minded, convincing
- Optional: experienced in German language in verbal and written form
