Senior Business Development Manager

Location: Central London

Salary: very competitive – dependent on experience

Our client is a tier one Cisco Partner, with ambitious growth plans. They are looking to grow across the sectors and are building a team to do this. As a smaller company, you will be part of a tight knit team who have a hands on approach and are passionate about taking the business to the next level.

The role will identify and work with new customers to understand their business challenges and demonstrate what solutions the company can offer to resolve those issues.  The successful candidate will join a predominately new team in the new city office and will, as a key team member, be driving the next phase of growth. The role is for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a proven track record of success in the technology sector.

The role has a strong entrepreneurial flavour and will suit someone who has the drive to carve out their own niche, a self-starter with the ability to work on your own initiative with minimal direction. You will be an excellent communicator who knows how to engage and negotiate with senior level stakeholders. You will have an excellent track record of selling IT business-led solutions or managed services. Your success will be rewarded with an attractive commission plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Secure “New Logo” wins
  • Create account maps
  • Deliver account management processes as agreed with new clients to ensure Cistor maximise revenue by providing exceptional service.
  • Develop breadth of engagement across new accounts
  • Create, develop and maintain relationships with relevant Cisco AM
  • Work with Sales Support to ensure Deal registration and appropriate reservation
  • Provide weekly sales forecast
  • Creation of weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Maintain all pipeline in CRM
  • Achieve targets

Additional Responsibilities

  • Take part in activities to profile sector
  • Ad hoc calling days with Business Development team
  • Negotiation of payment terms
  • Cash collection
  • Ensure relevant Credit in place for existing customers
  • Increase Customer Satisfaction
  • Ad-hoc duties as required

Key Attributes and Experience

  • 3+ years opening new customers and specifically closing Cisco (or equivalent) equipment contracts
  • Poven ability to negotiate and close deals involving complex technology
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding quotas
  • Tenacity, drive and dedication
  • Exposure to structured strategic sales methodologies
  • Well organised and methodical
  • Good PC skills
  • Analytical & commercial mind set
  • Results and detail orientated
