Sales Associate
Location: London, W8
Hours: Full time and Part time available
FULL TIME: 5 Shifts (days) per week (39 hours plus overtime), Monday to Sunday with two days off per week
Leave: 20 days paid holiday per year
Annual Wage: £16 – 20K per year, depending on suitability and experience (plus considerable Paid-Overtime available)

PART TIME: 3-4 Shifts (days) per week (25 hours plus overtime), Monday to Sunday with 3 or 4 days off per week
Leave: 11 days paid holiday per year
Annual Wage: £8 – 11K per year, depending on suitability and experience (plus Overtime)
Our client is a distinctive luxury confectionary & giftware retailer, with international recognition, broad appeal and 40 years of brand history.

As a member of the team, your primary role will be to aid in the running of the stores, from assisting customers who require help, in the home-ware store or the patisserie, working with the Sales staff with finalising and completing customer’s orders for their centrepieces and gift items, facilitating production of gift items as necessary and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of the store.

The role is quite varied, including but not limited to:

• Assisting customers with confectionary sales, gift purchases and telephone queries
• Assisting the Sales staff in taking customer orders for events
• Help in preparing home-ware displays and shop windows
• Displaying sweets, chocolates & cakes in the store
• Reporting & maintaining stock levels
• Preparing customer orders from inception to completion
• Assisting the Barista in the Café/Patisserie if necessary
• Closing the store for the evening
• Help to maintain tidiness, cleanliness & hygiene levels within the shop

Successful candidates must ideally have:

• Excellent customer service skills, a friendly demeanour with a hardworking and outgoing attitude
• Excellent communication skills & service etiquettes
• A sharp eye for detail when it comes to the store’s & one’s own presentation
• Willingness and ability to be a fast learner about a range of varied product lines
• Confidence & determination to drive sales
• An ability to be punctual, reliable and to work under pressure
• Luxury sales & customer service experience, including experience of dealing with high profile people
• Some experience in the luxury confectionary or home-ware/giftware sectors
• Some experience/interest in hand-crafts or art
• Creativity & artistic flair
• Confidence & determination to drive sales
