Quality Manger/Inspector

This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a dynamic and forward thinking company. As a Quality Inspector, you will find that no two days are the same and as you get further into the job, additional duties will open up to you, such as:
- Monitoring the activities during the plating of parts
- Monitoring parts as they progress through the plating baths
- Inspection of parts and preparation of parts for shipment
- Interpreting specifications, blueprints and job orders
- Studying the production schedule and estimate requirements for completing orders efficiently and on time
- Maintaining accurate documentation
- Knowledge of creating FMEA’s, control plans, work instructions, standard operation procedures, SPC and PPAP
- Problem Solving Knowledge and experience of investigating Customer and internal quality concerns using 8D, 5 why
- Creation and maintenance of inspection and test records: must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
- Engineering Dimensional Metrology (Measurements to Microns)
- Coating Thickness Measurement Via-Ray Fluorescence and electronic devices, desirable, but can be trained also. Calibration system management control
- BS EN ISO 9001 internal Auditor/system experience essential
- Management and maintenance of supplier approvals
- In charge of staff training and maintenance of records
- Flexibility to assist with otherduties as and when required
Qualifications and Experience:
- An engineering or coatings and plating background preferable but not essential
- Management and development experience of dealing with a young workforce
- Must have demonstrable experience and working knowledge with either ISO 9001, ISO 14001
- Maintenance of legal and regulatory requirements
- Excellent communicator with good interpersonal skills
- Flexible approach to workand must be willing to assist in other areas when necessary
- Electroplating processing and inspection experience preferred

- Ability to read Engineering Drawings Desirable
