We are looking to appoint a new Quality Manager to continue to develop the already well established ISO 9001:2008 standard and take the company to the new ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and to implement this throughout the company with a special emphasis on medical procedures and MHRA compliance.

You should be experienced in ISO and be able to take the company forward with the new ISO 9001:2015 standard.

Location: Cardiff.

Hours: Full-time permanent position Monday to Friday. Start immediately.

Salary: £27,000.00 to £32,000.00 /year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning and implementation of all quality aspects
  • Ensure full compliance to all relevant ISO, MHRA, UK, EU and global legislation, regulations and guidelines
  • Key point of contact for liaison with external third-party certification and accreditation bodies
  • Report to senior management on all quality systems
  • Ensure the development and processes of procedures to ensure continuous improvement
  • Act as the company expert on quality management
  • Ideally be NEBOSH approved (or IOSH) for HSE regulations.
  • Provide the necessary training and guidance to other managers and staff and any changes to all appropriate legislation
  • Work with the other department heads to ensure that the quality and medical systems are adopted and implemented throughout the business and is maintained to the highest level
  • Develop quality targets and KPI measures for all Company operations
  • Maintain compliance with ISO and MHRA GDP implementation, policies, standards and guidelines
  • Monitor quality department cost against budget to improve efficiency and financial performance

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Logical, methodical approach and effective organisation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and effective interpersonal skills
  • Experience to audit and provide evidence of the organisation’s compliance
  • Detailed knowledge of ISO and knowledge of MHRA legislation so can act as the companies responsible person for GDP.
  • Experience in project management, managing quality/information management systems, change management and compliance management
  • Experience of implementing high quality standards within BCB
  • May involve travel to meet suppliers and customers in UK and overseas.
  • Flexible to work out of hours & willing to respond proactively to situations at short notice
