Location: Manchester

Salary: £22-26K (D.O.E)

Hours: 7:30 – 17:00 Mon – Fri

Our client is a globally successful company and well known for their fast, friendly service and being able to advise their customers on the best product to meet their exacting requirements through their energetic dedicated team of diamond drilling and cutting product experts.

Due to continued success, our client is currently looking for a Procurement and Inventory Planner to come and join their busy team at their Manchester office.

Key Duties Will Include and require:

• Managing the company’s purchasing and accuracy of stock.

. Forecasting/forward buying to suit changing demands

. Liaising with overseas manufacturing partners and importing logistics companies

. Negotiating on expiditation of orders

Various Progression opportunities depending on experience could include implementing quality control and continuous improvement techniques and systems, and working with other departments to progress the company’s product innovation strategy.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in similar position.

• Commercial awareness

• Conscientious purchasing skills

• Accuracy at data control and thorough understanding of forecasting, exchange rates and cash flow.

• Must have experience with MS Excel07, MS Outlook07, SAGE Line 50.  Useful to have experience with Intact ERP
