Location: Bolton

Our Client is a £160 million business which supplies cake and desserts in own brand to the Major Multiples. There are two sites in the North West at Bolton and Oldham. The Bolton site manufactures more commodity-based products making for example slab cakes, and unit cake for a variety of retailers including many major supermarkets and also features some brand products.

The success of our client has further been recognised both by its peers and within its sector by being awarded a variety of awards including the Bakery Food Manufacturer of the year.

Duties Include:

Supervise and coordinate the Hygiene Team, including responsibility for scheduling holidays/shifts
Completion and maintenance of environmental hygiene paperwork, ensuring departmental CIC schedules and sign offs are accurately followed
Administration and recording of waste movements and amounts
Maintain GMP/Hygiene standards to exceed customer expectation
Communicate effectively with your team, managing their attendance, development and performance in line with Company policies and procedures
Work together with the Hygiene Manager to ensure that cleaning requirements are met within agreed deadlines, making best use of resources and materials
Actively implement new cleaning procedures and train your team
To participate in cross-functional team working
To deploy staff effectively and motivate them to achieve best practice in all assigned tasks
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

Great interpersonal skills
Good PC skills especially MS Office and preferably SAP
The ability to work unsupervised
Good attention to detail
Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise work load
Flexibility and an excellent attendance record
