Shift Mechanical Fitter

We are looking to recruit a Shift Mechanical Fitter for our client based in Radcliffe, Manchester.

The duty of the fitter is to undertake the maintenance of all mechanical equipment on site, modifications to existing equipment and, where required, the installation of new equipment.

The fitter is responsible for conducting all duties in a safe manner, observing good work practices and housekeeping in the work area.  Company Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures must be followed at all times.

The fitter must be fully competent in all aspects of mechanical maintenance and be accustomed to producing high quality work required to ensure continued maximum equipment effectiveness.

Tasks

  • Maintain, repair and replace, where appropriate, mechanical equipment throughout the Mill.
  • Provide detailed records of work undertaken to assist with building an accurate equipment history to enable effective planned maintenance scheduling.
  • Undertake any other additional tasks at the direction of Maintenance Management.

Location Radcliffe, Manchester

Salary Up to £25k, overtime, pension and bonus scheme
