Mechanical / Bench fitter vacancy

Hours: 08:30 to 17:00 Mon-Thurs (with 15 mins morning tea break, half an hour lunch break and 15 mins afternoon tea break).

Friday:  08.30 to 16.30 hrs (with 15 mins morning tea break and half an hour lunch break).

Location: Burntwood, Staffordshire,

Salary: starting salary £20,000 with six months probationary period, which includes training.

The Company

Our client is one of the leading brands in the power transmission industry. Due to continued growth, they are currently recruiting for Bench Fitters within their main distribution centre at Burntwood Staffordshire area.

Our Client’s Bench Fitters will be involved in the assembly of industrial gearboxes and electrical motors.

The Candidate:

Successful candidates will be able to:

* Cope with a physically demanding role

*Be reliable

*Have an excellent track record of attendance from previous employment.

* Essential requirement to have some mechanical and electrical knowledge

* Must proof that they are conversant with and Utilise use of pressure and power tools and various equipment as needed to perform duties during assembly of Motors and gearboxes.

*Assist in compiling daily reports

*Keep the management informed of any problems

*Work as a team member

*Pay attention to detail when completing tasks and take pride in quality of their work.

*Ensure playing a part in ensuring a safe working environment

*Having a valid licence for counter balance and/or bendi fork (flexi type which is more difficult to use and requires special training and licencing) lift truck would be advantageous.

*Full training will be provided.

*Some level of PC literacy would be advantageous

*Previous experience in mechanical fitting of similar products is very advantageous for future prospects.
