Laboratory Technician

Our client, part of a prestigious scientific group, is an independent laboratory based near Bracknell in Berkshire, providing analytical data to the agri-food, horticultural and environmental industries. Employing over 70 people on the Bracknell site and coupled with other smaller and specialist labs around the country, our client is the largest Agricultural testing business in the UK.

Currently have a vacancy in the Environmental Department at the Bracknell Laboratory for a Laboratory Technician to come and join their large team of laboratory technicians.

 Core responsibilities of a laboratory technician will involve:

• Assisting in the receipt and preparation of a range of samples with an emphasis on liquid wastes.
• The role will also involve performing basic Analytical techniques.
• Candidates should have a good basic education preferably with a good grounding in Science which can be demonstrated in proficient verbal, literate and numerate skills

An employment history involving laboratory work is not essential as this is a Technician role and full on the Job training will be given.

As the client is in a rural location the candidate must have their own transport.

The starting salary will be between £16,500 and £17,500 depending on experience.

Location: Bracknell, Berkshire.
