Salary: £21,000 Depending on experience.

Hours: 37.5 per week / 8am-4pm negotiable after training.

Our client is an independent laboratory based near Bracknell in Berkshire, providing analytical data to the agri-food, horticultural and environmental industries. They employ over 70 people on the Bracknell site and coupled with their small specialist lab in Norfolk, the Livestock Nutrition lab in Yorkshire and specialist poultry micro lab in Shropshire they are the largest Agricultural testing business in the UK.

A vacancy currently exists in the ICP Department at our client’s Laboratory facility in Bracknell Berkshire.

The candidate is required to have experience of working in an analytical chemistry laboratory preferably with some experience of ICP-OES, ICP-MS and/or Atomic Fluorescence Spectroscopy.

The applicant will also  need to demonstrate that they can multi-task and prioritise their workload by completing allocated analytical work on time and to the required standards, working efficiently and effectively to minimise waste and time used; therefore maximising the efficiency and profitability of the laboratory.

It is expected that the work and its interpretation will be carried out competently with a large degree of independence. Where applicable, work must be carried out to meet the current requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO Guide 34 as laid down by UKAS.

Own transport is required as the laboratory is in a rural location.
