RECEPTION MANAGER

New permanent position available at this beautiful Cornish Resort which has 23 Hotel rooms and 37 lodges, as well as leisure centre and treatment rooms, which has an expected occupancy rate of over 80% all year.

Working within the main Manor building which offers both a beautiful Oak panelled dining room, warm and cosy bar area and function room.

The position involves the taking ownership of the day to day running of reception and reservations.

Specific Responsibilities

● To provide sufficient cover for the reception desk and associated duties.

● To greet guests following correct registration procedures.

● Check out guests and receive payments ensuring all transactions are completed in line with standard operating procedures.

● Cash up and reconcile at the end of each shift.

● Provide an efficient and accurate booking facility for any leisure sales bookings.  To fill hotel/lodges wherever possible at the highest rate possible from the given allocation.

● Open up and close down reception when on relevant shift, passing on and receiving all information to and from the night porter.  Maintain a clean, tidy and safe reception area.

● Implement and monitor all bookings received to ensure that they comply with our booking procedure.

● Understand the revenue and expenditure of the department.

● Issue and receive departmental keys and floats.

● Actively pursue job chats and ensure that all members of the team receive clear guidance and support in their role.

● To be aware of all functions that day and their needs.

● Maintain knowledge of all services, policies and procedures offered by all departments.

● Attend training sessions and departmental meetings as and when requested.

● Report all accidents via the company accident reporting procedure to a manager.

● Undertake any reasonable request from a member of the management team to promote customer service and/or a harmonious working environment.

Work with the Deputy General Manager on revenue management in order to increase occupancy.

Implement policies & procedures to ensure the smooth running & efficiency of the department.

Cover Duty Management shifts as part of routine Reception Manager shifts.

Salary: Competitive Dependant on Experience

Hours: Full time position includes Evenings and Weekend work
