Job Title: Home Care Workers
Our client is a small and friendly domiciliary care organisation dedicated to providing fantastic community support. We support clients in a range of areas across Leeds.
Due to their continued success, our client is currently looking to expand their team of excellent Home Care Workers.
Location: Leeds LS19, 20, 21
Hours you will cover: Thursday and Friday 16:00 – 22:00 / Saturday and Sunday 07:00 – 14:00 / Saturday and Sunday 16:00 – 22:00 / Monday 07:00 – 14:00
Salary: £8.00 to £9.00 /hour
Benefits: Travel allowance 30p a mile from first call.
As a home care worker, you will be expected to assist with a variety of daily tasks ranging from personal grooming, meal preparation, feeding and light housework. You will also be covering the areas of Otley, Guiseley, Yeadon and Rawdon.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- To promote customers independent living and the control over their life in involving them in all decision making.
- To provide physical assistance with personal care, including assistance with toileting, washing, bathing, showering etc…
- To be able to use hoisting equipment and moving and handling techniques. Training will be provided.
- To assist with or carry out the preparation of meals at the request of the customer and where necessary support with feeding.
- To prompt or administer medication in line with our client’s policy and customer’s doctor’s prescription.
- To provide assistance with or undertake household tasks including laundry and cleaning.
- To support customers with the care of their pets and light gardening duties when required
- To support customers in the community with recreational activities or other activities such as shopping, visiting friends and family etc…
The Ideal Candidate:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is advantageous.
- At this time, the company is looking for car drivers only.
- Care Assistant: 1 year
