Same day Courier Driver

Salary: Dependent on experience

Benefits: 20 days holiday + bank holiday, Pension scheme

Hours: Full time & permanent position available working an average of 35-45 hours per week

Job Description:

We are currently looking for someone who feels at ease with dealing with customers face to face and who is confident with driving daily to join our transport team as a same day delivery driver who will be dropping our customer’s merchandise of all over the UK. We need someone who has possibly had experience in courier work before and someone that has some knowledge in geography as this role includes being on the roads daily, so you will need to know the basics around a map/Satnav. They will also need to be able to perform various administrative duties such as giving proof of delivery forms, filling in forms and getting signatures of our customers. Drivers must be reliable and self-motivated due to the long hours spent alone on the roads.

The role will require you to;

  • Make deliveries and Carry out collections anywhere in the UK
  • Occasional hand-balling.
  • Meet booking times as dictated by our customers.
  • Ensure that all paperwork is completed correctly and returned.
  • Be responsible for condition of your vehicle – reporting defects / damage etc.
  • Be fully compliant with all legal requirements.

What’s required:

  • Must be over the age of 25
  • Needs to have held a full UK Driver’s License for a minimum of 3 years
  • No more than 3 points on license or have been disqualified
  • Been a UK residence for at least 3 years
  • Applicants must be available to work flexible working and unsocial hours and shift and working hours vary daily.
  • It is a requirement of the role to be able to move or lift heavy packages
