The Company

The catering and refrigeration industry is a constantly expanding sector and having the latest coldroom storage equipment can directly affect and improve the service end users provide to their customers. Our client is a market leading supplier of Coldrooms to the trade and has enjoyed continued growth throughout the years. Due to this continued success, they are looking to recruit a dynamic sales professional, to help them to win new business and increase their client base.

Overview of Position:

The successful candidate will be sellingColdroom solutions directly to trade customers within the UK.  The ideal person may have a successful background in telesales and be looking for their next move into a Field Sales role.  You will be responsible for generating leads via the telephone and booking appointments to visit potential new customers, as well as face to face adhoc visits.  You will also receive warm leads generated by the company’s regular marketing campaigns. It is expected that you will grow your customer base and will be responsible for sourcing new sales leads and closing new business.

Product training will be provided to help you to understand the market served sufficiently to achieve a consultative sales approach.  You will also receive comprehensive training on the Companies CRM system and other bespoke systems.  The job isfield and office based and you will be expected to achieve a minimum of 10 new business appointments a week.  You will be expected to travel to meetings within the UK and occasionally Europe, which involves some overnight stays away from home.

Job Summary:

You will have a successful track record in sales, preferably within a b2b sector and you will be able to demonstrate how you would be achieve your targets of growing revenue through new business and account management.  You will also need to demonstrate a flexible approach to sales, using different techniques as required.

The Role:

*Working to predetermined targets to sell the company’s products

*Conduct on-going sales activity and confidently sell and close via the telephone, email and in person.
*Responsible for finding and developing new business as well as account management and growth of your existing clients. Sourcing and closing new business is essential.
*Ability to manage own sales pipeline.
*The ability to be a team-player taking on board and implementing new ideas from colleagues (both sales and non-sales) and to contribute your own ideas.

*Excellent IT Skills are essentials(Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)

Performance Standards:

Will be measured and judged on achievement of revenue targets, profitability, quality of deliverables and on activity levels.

* Sales experience, preferred but not essential as attitude and willingness to achieve is key.

*Idea generator, initiative-taker and ability to think outside the box
*Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills (phone, email and in person).

*Must be willing to travel within UK and Europe as occasional overnight stays form part of the role
