Job Title: Automotive Engineer
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Benefits: 20 days holiday + bank holidays, Pension scheme
Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30 to 5.30. Alternate Saturday mornings 8.30 to 12.00, with overtime available
Location: Essex
Our client is a world leading specialist in historic Porsche engineering based in Essex. They specialise in road, race, restoration, engine and gearbox rebuilds and consultancy in sales and acquisition. They are currently looking for an Automotive Engineer to join their already well-established team.
The role includes:
Inspection of vehicles on arrival
Producing reports on work required/needed
Undertaking services on pre-1974 Porsches
Investigation and diagnosis of poor running vehicles and other issues
Undertaking engine and gearbox rebuilds
Preparation on race cars and attendance at the race track
The role could be flexible for the right candidate
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience in a workshop environment
Previous engineering experience essential
Experience of the Porsche marques desirable but not essential
Trustworthy and reliable
An eye for detail, methodical and well organised
Able to plan work and meet deadlines
Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
Good written communication skills
Good oral communication skills
