EXPERIENCE WITH FRESH PRODUCE PACKER (NIGHT SHIFT) – FULL TIME/ PART TIME

Our client is a premier provider to the wholesale, catering and retail sectors of the finest quality fruits, vegetables and specialist foods based in the historic Borough Market near London Bridge.
They have earned our impressive reputation through 30+ years of impeccable service, providing produce of the highest quality to the top Michelin star restaurants, bars and cafes across London; sourced directly from a network of excellent UK farms, some of the most prestigious markets in Europe (Rungis, Milan etc.) and beyond! They offer this product to the food enthusiasts of London via their iconic retail stand here at Borough.
Our client is at a key stage of their company’s evolution with an imminent move to a state-of-the-art warehouse and are looking to develop a dynamic team to come along on this exciting journey.
THE JOB:
They are currently looking for full time / part time night produce pickers to join our wholesale team based in Borough Market. In order to be successful, the candidate must have a good knowledge of fruit and vegetables throughout their career to date as well an intermediate level of IT experience.
The vacancy details are as follows –
Full time role: 8 pm start, Monday to Saturday; minimum 40 hours/week
Part Time role: between 8 pm – 2 am start, minimum 6 hour shifts
Pay rate: £21,000 – £35,000 pa, based on experience and subject to in-house assessments

Requirements:
Experience of working with fresh produce is essential (ideally 3+ years). This could be in a variety of roles including catering and food-service sectors. Must have good knowledge of fruit and vegetables.
Responsibilities will include:
– Picking orders and loading them onto the delivery van, checking off the delivery note/packing list to ensure no missing.
– Quality check for all products coming in/ going out
– Unloading pallets on arrival
– Stocking fridge and surrounding warehouse area
– Inputting Invoices and stock into our data systems (training will be provided)
– Other general warehouse duties
